Question:
Do you deem it wise to really spend an hour just on perfecting the circle?
Answer:
I wouldn't spend an entire hour on just perfecting the circle. I think Monteton may have used the one hour to make a point, rather than as a literal suggestion. Ride every pattern with the utmost precision, as described in the blog, but keep it interesting for the horse, too. Vary the patterns during the ride. If you ride the same pattern too many times in a row, the horse may tune out, and then the accuracy of the alignment will actually deteriorate.
