This super filly is a carbon-copy of her dam, Oneonta, in kindness and gentleness. Big-bodied, big-boned filly with super movement. She is sensible, intelligent, kind, and friendly. Very careful but not spooky. She will make an exceptional prospect for an adult amateur looking for a kind, quiet Lipizzan filly. She is so similar to her dam, Oneonta, we cannot help but think she will turn out just like her in terms of rideability as well. Her dam, Oneonta, is a super-sane, super-safe, kind and generous riding horse. This filly is a one-in-a million!
Ophelia was evaluated as a very gawky and awkward yearling. Typical for Lipizzans of that age, she did not present at her best, and her evaluation score, although acceptable, was not phenomenal and therefore reflects this. Dr. Jaromir Oulehla, the Evaluator, recommended that she be brought back for re-evaluation when she is older with the assurance that she will score much higher as she matures. As he said, he can only evaluate what is presented to him on that day. As anyone can see from her 2-year old photos and video, she is blossoming into a beautiful young mare, proving Dr. O to be correct.
