Filly born August 28, 2009. Simona is the result of an unplanned breeding. We had planned to leave her dam, Sorria, unbred, but she got in with the stallion when they were in neighboring paddocks, and (lo and behold) she was pregnant when we checked. Because Sorria and Shama are genetically close, we would have never intentionally done this cross, but WOW - did this filly ever turn out nice. SUPER FABULOUSLY BAROQUE!!! But what would you expect with these two baroqe beauties as her parents!
